Our Story

The I TOO Story

Our story started in 2008 when we became garment suppliers to various brands. After 10 years of supplying to other businesses and seeing the pollution effects of production, we decided to pioneer sustainable fashion.

Our mission is to spread awareness of the pollution problem that faces the fashion industry today.

We hope to encourage fashion brands to produce sustainable clothing. We hope that people might change their buying habits and support sustainable brands.

With proper information, we can help consumers make more educated fashion decisions.

Our factories are approved by Sedex - Empowering Ethical Supply Chains and CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment)

I TOO Care

We are just as passionate about the people in our community as we are about the environment.

We recently joined up with Siargao Environmental Awareness (S.E.A) Movement to host a beach clean up on Siargao Island in the Philippines. S.E.A Movement is a collaborative effort to help preserve the natural resources and beauty of the island. S.E.A Movement has a group of about 30 island kids that they call the ‘Waste Watchers’ who join in on beach cleanups.

The Waste Watchers are protective of their island and through S.E.A Movement, they are becoming more aware of plastic pollution and the impact it has on the environment. The minimum wage in the Philippines is $6 a day and most parents can’t afford to buy new toys or gifts for their kids.

To thank the Waste Watchers for helping us with the beach clean up, we got new toys for all of them. The excitement that they showed when receiving the new toys warmed our hearts. We aim to do more beach cleanups and partner up with more charities. By purchasing from I TOO, you can help us make a difference. Recycled Polyester

Polyester is a petroleum-based synthetic fiber which is a non-renewable or non-sustainable resource. During the extraction process, it has damaging environmental repercussions. A sustainable alternative is recycled polyester which is made from recycled products (e.g. PET bottles) which get crushed into flakes, goes through the polymerization process, gets turned into PET chips and is spun into yarn. Unlike linen, wool, and cotton which becomes weaker after the recycling process, recycled polyester stays strong and keeps its quality.

Here are a few reasons why we love recycled polyester:

60% less energy is used in the production process

It helps divert plastic form out landfills

It uses fewer resources

It creates less air and water pollution

Soybean Fabric

What do we love even more than Recycled Polyester fibers? Soybean fibers! This magical fiber is a little more unknown but it is one of our favorites because it is 100% biodegradable! The fabric is made from soybean hulls and because of its soft touch, it is often referred to as ‘vegetable cashmere’.

The soybean’s oil is converted into a fiber by going through a gentle pharmaceutical process that also allows it to retain its nutritious proteins.

Here are a few more reasons why we love soybean fabric:

It is breathable

It resists wrinkles

It is anti-bacterial

Like cashmere, this ‘vegetable cashmere’ is really soft
